A little about my past
- I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Riverside
- I earned a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University
- I was a children’s librarian (who performed 7 storytimes a week!), an adult services librarian, and an acting branch librarian. Some of my duties included:
- planning and implementing library programs such as storytimes, author visits, entertainer visits.
- generating flyers and press releases for events. I am familiar with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Publisher
- writing several grants which funded our library’s Stories to Go Program (book kits for storytimes in the local preschool community)
- while acting Branch Librarian supervised a library committee to raise funds for and rebuild the existing library.
- Crowdfunding
- 2015: Co-campaign manager for Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the one day to be released (once we get enough money!) indie film Road Kill (written and directed by Konstantinos “Dino” Kovas)
- I was a staff writer, division head of all New Monkees news and writer of New Monkees Mondays at Zilch: A Monkees podcast on Facebook.
- Social media manager for the music group and television show New Monkees
